How To Teach Yourself Sleep Meditation To Fall Asleep In 15 Minutes (Or Less)!!!

People with sleep troubles know how challenging it can be to fall asleep at night.  You can be exhausted, but once your head hits the pillow, you find it difficult to fall asleep.  Those dealing with insomnia or anxiety have even more troubles as they often deal with “shutting off” their brain to go to sleep.

There are many different ways to promote sleep and staying asleep, but many people are still into the more natural approach.  One way that people are fixing their sleeping is through sleep meditation. Here are a few ways to meditate during the day and before bed to help you fall asleep easier and stay asleep throughout the night.

SLEEP MEDITATION TO FALL ASLEEP IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES

1. A Mindful Meditation

  • The stresses of the day are the most common culprit of trouble sleepers because they find it difficult to shut off these stressed thoughts.
  • Mindfulness or sleep meditation is a great way to stop these thoughts to fall asleep.
  • When it comes to meditation, there are a few things you can do.
  • As you lie in the bed, focus on one aspect of your life that you want to deal with.
  • Think about it for a couple of minutes, then let the issue go.
  • Focusing on something and setting it free is a great way to reap the benefits of sleep meditation and fall asleep.

2. Mental Imagery

  • If you have ever imagined yourself in a happy place, you have already tried something known as guided mental imagery.
  • As you lie in bed, imagine something peaceful and calm such as gentle rain shower or gentle ocean waves.
  • Some people picture the clouds across the sky.
  • Regardless of what you imagine in your head, the act of picturing a place that feels safe and relaxing is critical.
  • This imagery in the head helps calms the mind from the stresses of the day and allows you to relax.
  • Someplace safe, calm, and relaxing is perfect for helping people fall asleep.

3. Count Sheep

  • While this sounds cliché, counting sheep can really help you fall asleep.
  • Just like meditative breathing, counting down helps you focus on something else besides the stresses of the day.
  • Lie in the bed, staring at the ceiling.
  • Take a deep breath, allowing you to relax.
  • Then, start counting in the head.
